Is there still hope?

I bought a fushia in a hanging basket, and it did wonderful for about two months. Then it wasn't. first it stopped flowering, so I moved it to full shade, under the deck, now it is "stringy", with a few green leaves, and every once in a while buds that never bloom. Could I cut it back and start over in the spring? What's the best way to do this?

Hi Mira,
Give it a light trim now, this will strengthen it. Keep is just moist don't over water it, if the weather keeps warm it may still give you some flowers in September - Kath:)
