Buds Drop Before Opening

Last Spring I ordered several fuchsias. The plants are all doing well. I have Sophisticated Lady and Blush of Dawn both planted in the same basket and both plants look healthy. They are both treated the same way; both get fed twice a month, both watered deeply and well in the cool of the morning and both are lightly spritzed with water on hot days. Blush of Dawn is covered with beautiful big blooms.
Sophisticated Lady is covered in big buds, however these buds never open up. They just fall off the plant. Is Sophisticated Lady a more difficult variety to grow? Am I doing something wrong?
I don't understand how the plant itself can look so healthy and have another fuchsia in same pot doing so well.
Any help would sure be appreciated.
