fushia disease?

Hi everyone:

One of my fushias has developed a problem. Some of the leaves are deformed and have a hard, green, bumpy, leathery appearance. I can't see any insects or white flies. Can anyone tell me what this is and how I can treat it?

Thank you,
Lynne

Sounds like Fuchsia gall mite, unfortunately a rather common problem on the west coast.

Here is a link that might be useful: fuchsia gall mite

Thank you, Gardengal48. It sounds like just what I have going on. This is the cutest fushia I have ever had and I hate to get rid of it. I hope I can find another one like it.

Thanks again,
Lynne
