F. Boliviana seedling...

I started a Fuchsia Boliviana "Alba" from seed recently. The seedling is now about 3/4" tall and has 4 tiny leaves. It lives in the house, under a not-too-bright window, and it is kept moist. The thing is...it's been this tall for at least 4 weeks. It did add the 3rd and 4th leaves after it gained it's "height". Is this slow growth normal for Fuchsia seedlings?

Pinch the growing tip out of the top Jeff, this will encourage further side growths - Kath:)

Jeff, It would probably be happier outside. These are montane tropicals, not lowland plants. They love cool temperatures. Ryan

Hi Ryan, I wondered about that, but was hesitant because of the dry air during the santa ana winds. They've died down now (the winds) so I guess I can give it a try. I can put it on my front porch, which is covered, west-facing, and easy for me to keep an eye on it. Thanks, Jeff

I have plants that I can sell or trade. Both the red and the white and cherry-pink types.
