I live in Douglas county and I am really wanting to know where I can go to pick peaches. I have several fruit trees including 5 different varieties of peaches. I lost a lot of blooms due to the late freeze we had back in March and due to storms that blew off the little peaches. I do have some that I expect to grow to maturity but since this is named the peach state, I would have hoped that there would be lots of places to go and pick some for sale. Although I know I will have a harvest in a month or so, I just want to go and see what else is out there other than going to the supermarkets because the taste is a whole lot different. I will probably eat all my peaches in less than 2 weeks because I will allow them to get perfectly ripe before plucking. I use lots of bird netting on all my trees, I will double and triple net them when necessary and I have had huge success gathering up the goods when harvest time rolls around. Does anyone know where I can go to select more variety? Thanks!
