I am in the process of digging/dividing hardy iris. Blooms blue in spring. Plants grow to approximately 28" tall. I'm pretty sure its Blue Flag which likes a lot of water. This one did quite well in tough soil with little water or attention. Located in Grant Park. Let me know if you'd like some.
