I'm not an expert -- but I will say that I love my tea olive. The smell is amazing -- and the scent somehow travels through the air. You may not smell it when you are standing right next to it.... Then you will smell it from all the way across the yard.

Those are good screening shrubs. Depending on how big they are when you plant them, deer may browse on them a little if they are small enough for the deer to reach tender tips (except for the holly). But that will be true for many plants - best just to plan to deter the deer either with some chicken wire-type fence looped around the plants or some smelly spray on them occasionally (liquid fence, deer off are two brands you can find at Tractor Supply).
