WLH8723, you emailed me about some scion wood for trees that I either do not have, or are not mature. I am sorry, I do not have scion wood. I am however holding a scion wood exchange on January 29th at Holy Comforter, 737 Woodland Ave Se, in Atlanta 30316. This is exchange only, grafting assistance is available but we have no root stocks (we ask you pre-order and bring with you if needed). The ATL fruits yahoo group will be doing the scion exchange. The same day we are having a seed exchange in the church, downstairs. Fun for everyone! 1-4pm. This is a social event, we ask that you bring individually pre-packaged seeds labeled (and fresh seeds only, max. a year old) and are seeking open pollinated varieties. There will be hot drinks available, if you'd like a snack, please bring something to share. Children welcome with parental supervision. |

| girlgroupgirl, Tell me more about the scion wood exchange. Time of day and what is involved in pre-ordering. What is needed and what I must bring with me. How long will you be open and are there any pre planed sessions or whatever. I am new to all of this and have no idea what maybe involved. Thanks |

| It is 1-4pm, you must purchase and bring your own scion wood. Robert Hamilton, will be on hand to guide you through grafting. As I said, ATL fruits yahoo group can give you more information on everything grafting oriented. There is no "pre-ordering" - this is an exchange. You bring some scion wood you get some scion wood. This is merely a gathering of like minds. Grafting is simple. You will have the opportunity for Robert to show you how to graft and what tools you need. You can graft a few plants on site to try out, but the majority of your grafting will need to be done by you. It's a good idea to get your tools and tapes before hand, ATL fruits yahoo groups people can let you know what you need. Not much, it's simple. They will let you know where you can get root stocks from. |

| Whatever happened to that great old nursery for southern fruits in Atlanta? They used to sell mailorder too. Maybe this is what it turned into: http://www.hastingsgardencenter.com/page.asp?pg=whyhastings |
