Warm weather - spotted in my garden

I've had such a great time in this mild weather. Yesterday I spotted my first lady bug, a wasp, some spiders, lots of worms, one gnat. Cat brought me a snake - poor snake's tail chomped on, but I took it to the front and laid it on a clump of lambs ear. He/she slithered off.

Also found vole damage, darn it all. That's what I want the cat to get,not snakes. Any tips on vole control. Holes all over the place.

This warm weather has been wonderful. It was so warm the past few days that all of my Monarch chrysalises decided it was time to eclose. I didn't think that they would eclose at all since the eggs were laid the last week in October. It was a beautiful site to see.

I also spotted some lady bugs today. My daffodils are up to about 6 inches and my forsythia is budding out.

Spring is around the corner. YES!
