Southeastern Flower Show this weekend

Now that our own local groundhog has predicted an early spring (while the northern one has predicted MORE winter for them), we should all get excited about the upcoming spring.

The Southeastern Flower Show starts on Thursday (think of all the eager volunteers feverishly setting up today) and runs through Saturday. The show will be at the Cobb Galleria Centre (see link below).

My favorite organization - the Georgia Native Plant Society - is having an exhibit in the Discovery Division this year (exhibits with an educational message). If you go, please stop by and check it out. Of course it will be constructed of all native plants, including some rescued ones. I'll be at the exhibit on Saturday afternoon, so please say hi.

Sadly, I had to stop going. My favorite displays were always GNP displays however, I can't get to the show without MARTA access, and now there is none. It's just too far now.

Just heard that the GNPS display got five awards for our educational exhibit. How exciting!!

I've heard the show is plenty busy today; good activity for a rainy day, I guess.
