Storing Perenials

Okay so like many of you I am also itching to get out there and start digging and cleaning but with this nasty weather I have to hold off - I am going to the Grower's Outlet - great place by the way in Loganville - to buy some Astilbes - where/how do I store these until it is time to plant? Thanks for your responses!

If you have a garage or unheated basement, that is plenty warm enough.

The one's they sell are hardy to USDA Zones 3-4 (-30Â° to -40Â°F). I wouldn't be concerned about upper 20s. Place them in a sunny location, out of the wind and since the air is very dry (Humidity Astilbes are cold tolerant plants and can suffer during our long, hot summers. Best if planted in a shady location, in moisture retentive soil.
