cordyline

I have a Red Sensation cordyline growing in a large container. I brought in inside for the winter along with other tropical plants. They're kept in our ground level basement, which has several windows. I water them occasionally and generally keep an eye on them. This plant clearly was not happy with the growing conditions and has been slowly drying up since late fall. I finally moved it upstairs into a southeast facing location where several small houseplants are thriving. However, I'm wondering if it's too late. The leaves are all shriveled and dry. Should I cut it back? Just keep watering until spring and hope for the best once it's back outdoors?
