I always have leaves on daffs before blooms, what is confusing me is the iris. I have tiny dwarf irises that ALWAYS bloom first. So far I've had tons of blooming crocus, one daff is fully out, and the ogon spirea is about to bust wide open. Yes, I suspect we may have some more frosts to come, however this is not all that unusual. I have the Gardening 'Round Atlanta book and it gives a short history of the author's garden - she mentions some very early springs in some years, also some frosts after "spring" has sprung.

Not only is the weather confusing. I am confused as well. I have some winter sowed goodies and I am so tempted to plant some of them out. What do you guys think I should do? Should I plant them out or just wait for "spring"?

Plants in containers can suffer if exposed to the cool nights too soon. Take the plants outside while the weather is warm, harden them off with a little exposure to some cold, but be ready to bring them back inside when the cold returns. Some plants can tolerate more cold after they are "hardened off". Mid-April is the last frost in Atlanta.
