Your list looks good, but I've never tried Sweet Potatoes. I'm gonna try pink eyed peas, because I like to eat them better than other "black eyed" varieties.

I have always wanted to do sweet potatoes, are you buying sets, plants or cutting up your own? I was wondering how heavy they feed, I was thinking about letting them wander around the upper bed of my wall that's a mix of blueberrie, herbs shrubs and perennials. The deer kept eating the maroon and bright green ornamentals that were there last year. i hav always had those set a big root and though, it looks like I could eat it, I never tried.

I grew them (Beauregard) from plants last year as something to throw in a spot I had tilled but hadn't filled. If I remember right they came in a 9 pack. To be completely honest I didn't even bother with fertilizer or anything else for that matter. But this was also a spot that had never ben used before. This is just an estimate but I would say I got around 80 pounds at harvest. I think one thing that they really need is fairly soft soil so that they have somewhere to grow to. I plan to till the ground even deeper this year as the potatoes I got seemed to have bent a lot when they hit the harder dirt below the tilled dirt.
