| I have some 2-3yr old Yates Apple trees that need some pruning. I've taken pics of them to get some tips on what exactly needs pruning b/c they don't have the shapes that I'm seeing in the pruning manuals. Instead of seeing obvious scaffolding branches, I'm seeing several branches going upward at near vertical angles. I know this will lead to splits in the tree in later years.
Would any of you be able to tell me what to prune? Thanks so much! |

| Looks like you got some good advice from the site where the pics were. Branch spreading will help. Here's your tree in the upright position.
