| Are wild violets edible? I'd like to sugar some of the millions in my garden for use in cake decorating. |

| Yes! The wild violets here are very nutritious. You can candy the flowers and use the leaves in preparations and also in salads. High in vitamin c. |

| I made syrup from them once. It took tons of flowers, but it was the most beautiful color and a wonderfully delicate flavor. |
