I saw Dutch iris bulbs in a display of summer-blooming bulbs at a store today. I'd love to get some but thought they were spring bloomers here. Would it be too late to plant them now (early March)? Would they flower if planted in a container, again planting them immediately? Could I store the bulbs until fall, if that's the appropriate time to put them in the ground, or would it be better to buy them closer to the time?
