I'm going to start cutting mine back today to root some more. You can either leave them, or cut them way back. Depends on how large you want them.

You are right, yours are GORGEOUS! I'm moving mine soon - it's now in shade and the squirrels eat all the darned buds off of them and I don't get much show...

Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous plant! Yours look so healthy and lovely. If you do have any extra "sticks" from your cuttings, I would love to try to repeat your successes.

I'm surprised I don't know this plant! I did look it up: Hibiscus mutabilis

I have several Perennial Hibiscus, but this looks a good bit different... and bigger! When I looked it up, it said hardy to zone 7, so it sould work in Woodstock.

Now I've gone and gotten excited. I'm trying not to get too much new stuff going. The goal is to clear the deck from all the "hospital plants" (plants I'm nursing), but here I go again!

woody - I have a friend in Woodstock that might be able to give you some cuttings. His plants get HUGE.
