The feral hogs are out and roaming now

The feral hogs are out and roaming now because it's Springtime---out and roaming in my neck of the woods anyway. I live in an island community near Savannah that is surrounded by marsh and water. We have LOTS of hogs here. I can actually hear them squealing at night over in the marsh areas. Yes, there are that many of them. Two nights ago, one HUGE hog was roaming one street over from me, according to neighbors. Once the sows have piglets following them everywhere, it's only going to get worse. Just be very alert if you like to walk because you could meet one or more of them up close and personal. Please be careful out there. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

LOL! We lived above Vero Beach in a woodsy area. I was hanging clothes on the line when I heard piggies sqealing. A mama pig and her babies walked by me. Darnest thing I ever saw!

Oh my zackey, I'm glad the momma hog didn't charge you! If they think their babies are in danger, they will charge in a heartbeat.

I had 5 of them just chillin' under the shade trees and hanging out in my front yard 2 years back. I was afraid to go out the house and walk down my long driveway to get my mail. Yep, I'm a chicken. LOL

I must have been down wind from her. It's a good thing. She was between me and the house and I was surrounded by huge palmettos and nursery pots. One little path out of I had to run. I'd be like you and stay in the house!
