Citrus or other plant for south facing covered patio

Does anyone know if a Meyer lemon would do well in a container in extremely bright indirect light on my south-facing front patio (covered)? I saw some today at Lowe's and was intrigued. If this is not a good choice, what would do well in this type of situation (looking for something with a little height)? Fragrance might also be nice. Most things meant for partial shade fry, but the sunlight is not really "direct".

It will be fine. Actually, if your like me (known to be a little slack with the watering can at times) you probably couldn't pick a better place for it. I kept mine on my deck one year which has considerable shade with no ill effects. Even made a few lemons.
