Natalie, check to see if the Atlanta Botanic Gardens still have their tour - it used to be on Mother's Day Weekend. Haven't attended myself for several years, but it was WONDERFUL.

We have a private tour of gardens in our own community. This year we are going to be adding chickens and urban farm type yards, we also do flower/landscaped type yards. We organize it ourselves, it's free for our neighbors and we liberally serve libations. End of evening is usually a pot luck at someone's place. A whole day of very fun stuff, lots of free plant give aways, hanging out with friends and pretty easy to organize! What I really like the best is that they are all DIY gardens and landscapes.

GGG, what a fantastic idea! DIY gardens are rare among those chosen for the tour - unless the owner is a professional landscape architect.
I also love the idea of potluck dinner afterwards. How fun!
