Depends on who you ask down here. Apparently it seems to be hit or miss. I've been getting more than adequate rainfall at my location this Spring (which is a welcome change from last year) so I just assumed most of GA & AL were getting their share as well but others don't seem to be receiving much at all. It's more areas of localized drought now instead of a state or region-wide problem.

The Atlanta metro area is still officially in a Level 4 drought. During the Oct to April "recharge" period, the area only got 80% of the "usual" amount, thereby pushing us further into drought.

Lake Lanier is still more than 13 feet below full pool. Lake Hartwell is similar. The shorelines of both lakes look very pitiful.

I have snapdragons and begonias that survived the winter without watering. My yard has had adequate rain to keep things green and growing currently, but prospects look bleak for this summer.

The city is also planning on raising water rates because it has asked people to conserve water. Therefor they have not made the money from water that they had hoped to. So now we conserve water to save it, and will be getting punished for it.

We're in a drought but people around here still water lawns and gardens with the hose. It's frustrating!
