What is the best time to transplant Iris's. My mom would move them after they have finished blooming in the spring, but I have also heard to wait till the Fall. I would like to move some to a new bed I have made in the backyard.

I have never transplanted iris's but it would be logical and risk free to do it during dormancy. Then you can easily separate and divide them any way you want without worrying.
Unless, you HAVE TO do it now, for whatever the reason might be.

I just transplanted about 50 of them to a new location about 4 weeks ago. I did some more last week. Neither are having problems.

We did some last fall - they are doing well too. Bloomed beautifully last month.
