Moving Cast Iron Plants

I have two large cast iron plants that after removing a few trees, they are simply getting too much sun and are bleaching out quickly. They look terrible. It's not too terribly hot yet so If I want to move them to a location with more shade I imagine this would be a good time. Any opinions? I am also wondering if I should go ahead and divide them since I will have them out of the ground. I don't know what is exactly big for a cast iron plant but these are probably 4ftx4ft. I may have to cut them in half anyway just to move them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would cut them into 10 inch clumps and replant. Water them in well when you finish and they'll be fine. They should start producing new shoots in a couple weeks.

I dug them up this morning, really no digging to it, it was like the rhimozones were right at the top of the ground. I ended up getting about 15 good plants, probably 1ft sections pieces. I got them moved, and we just had an awesome rain. Hope they like their new location.
