Thanks Mayland, a great list. Maybe a silly question, but is there anything that will actually bring the butterflys that the bees dont like?

Pentas are a good butterfly nectar plant that I've not noticed bees visiting.

Try to find the tall cultivars.

Bees really favor blues and purples so you'd want to avoid those colors. I've read that bees are red-blind so I'm guessing that red flowers would attact them the least.

I've planted many plants for butterflies and hummingbirds gardens. Bees are naturally attracted to the same plants, but because they are so interested in the nectar bees will not really be a bother to you.
It is so important to have pollinators in our gardens that unless you are highly allergic to bee stings you shouldn't worry. I have a young daughter that is in the garden with me all the time and neither of us have ever been stung by a bee -yellow jackets on the other hand #@

Try tithonia, otherwise known as Mexican sunflower. It has an orange flower and is a butterfly magnet.
