Blooming this week

Magnolia macrophylla - the bigleaf magnolia that is native to the Atlanta area. It has huge leaves but it is deciduous. I saw it blooming up in Canton yesterday; it has been blooming in my back yard for about a week now. This is a picture from last year (when the branch was low enough for me to photograph it).
