I hope you will reconsider introducing new populations of invasive plants, especially into a sensitive area like near a creek.

If you are looking for ideas for either erosion control or privacy, there are native choices that would be much kinder to the natural environment.

As the response above indicates, please reconsider. Bamboo is not indigenous to Georgia and is very very invasive. There are alternatives that I'm sure many folks would be willing to share instead.

Oh my gosh, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has a bamboo collection which includes running bamboo and on a recent tour, the Director of Horticulture and Facilities showed us where running bamboo had gone under and was coming up on the other side of a two-lane asphalt road!!!

We're holding off on the bamboo, for now, and are open to some of your other suggestions.
