ID of Pale Pink Rose

I don't have a picture but can anyone tell me the name of an old fashioned pale pink climber/rambler rose that is blooming now? I am seeing it blooming in several old fields/old home places? It has many petals, 4" wide open flower, blooms only in the spring and has wicked thorns. There is one in the woods that has grown high up in the trees and is blooming in the shade. Seems very hardy.

Yes, that looks just like it. Thanks. Since I've noticed them I am seeing them everywhere. Some are in bush form. They are very pretty, but wicked thorns.

...or Dr. W. Van Fleet, the spring blooming sport parent of New Dawn. Both of mine are blooming now but DWVF usually doesn't rebloom except for the occasional flower here and there.

I agree- Dr. Van Fleet. There was a huge bush next to our well where I grew up and it has always been one of my favorites. The one in our yard now was given to me by a neighbor long ago. I would like to try New Dawn- would love to have something like Dr. Van Fleet that reblooms.
