We are seeing what I consider normal numbers for June. They show up in large numbers at our feeders in July. I think they may still be nesting during June. Maybe the ones you and I are seeing have nests nearby?? I read somewhere once that the ones that show up early, like April, are mostly stopping by feeders to build strength before migrating further North.

If your flower gardens are full of blooms this year from the rains we got early (ours are), maybe they are visiting the flowers more than the feeders right now.

Well, my feeders are servicing about 3 or 4 hummers. They come so sparingly that I only fill the feeder about 1/4 of the way because this blasted heat sours the water. We're sweltering here and the kudzu is thriving growing about a foot per day.

Were as I usually have about 20-30 I have only seen 1. I don't know what is happening but I wish they would come back. I am in the Waycross area.
