New Vegetable Gardener Needs Help with Banana Peppers

izzymandelbaum

I just started my first vegetable garden a couple of weeks ago and I'm really excited about the potential results. I have planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and banana peppers in a raised garden. If you're in Georgia then you have an idea of the hot and dry weather we've been having here for the past week. I've read that pepper plants do not enjoy this kind of heat and causes problems for them, and that they should be covered up with a "light cloth." Should I cover them up? If so, then with what? I appreciate any ideas or responses as I would really like to make sure these peppers grow well.

Thanks Ya'll
