Flower ID please

I bought a plant that was labeled goldenrod at the Fernbank native plant sale in April, and it bloomed from May to June as a yellow, cup shaped flower. I was thinking it would bloom in yellow spikes in fall.

Can someone ID and see if this is something other than goldenrod? Thanks!
