hydrangea transplant wilting- advice?

I rescued a mophead hydrangea from a construction site the other day and transplanted it to a shady spot in my garden. Watered it well, plus two days of heavy rain. When I looked this morning, it was perky and happy. But now at midday, it's all wilted and forlorn looking.

I know that this is the wrong time of year to transplant shrubs, but this one had to be moved out of harm's way. What can I do to protect it from the heat and stop the wilting?
