Hello,

I am hoping someone can weigh in (in great detail) on how and when to prune Spanish Lavender here in GA? If you have pictures, even better !!!! ; )

Many thanks in advance.

Prune it whenever you want. I have several clumps and the only thing you cannot do is prune all the green off.
I pruned mine 3 times last year.

While you're pruning you might want to try to root a few stems for more plants. It's a bit late for this, I have good luck rooting a few each spring by just cutting off a good looking stem, removing lower leaves and sticking them in the ground. I don't bother with them AT ALL or I'd have a better success rate, but the fact is I really don't need any more!

I have never seen any of this but I would like to have some if it is easy to root and someone can tell me how. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance. I would be glad to pay postage or trade.

    bumblebeez,

Do you really mean cut the green off, straight down to the base?
Or am I to cut it like I am pruning a hedge?
