I had a lovely visit with Alpharetta last week and was sent home with a bag of his Asian pears. Thought I'd post here instead of contacting him directly cuz y'all are going to want to plant this too. The fruit is wonderful, juicy, sweet, but not too sweet. I've shared with seven friends who all loved them. They are shaped more like apples than the pears we usually see. I hope Alpharetta will tell us if there is a variety name and where he bought it.
