Moral dilemma

I'm new to this forum, but I'm already facing a moral issue.

I plan to devote my back yard to Crocosmia, but that means I need to get rid of some Daylilies and Iris plants. Here's the problem: The Daylilies have suffered from rust and one of my Irises had root rot.

I don't intend to trade these plants... I'm more than willing to give them away. Should I do that or should these plants be destroyed? I'd appreciate any input.

Destroy. I personally think it would be not-great morals to give someone diseased plants that could infect their soil. It's OK to get rid of stuff like this when it's in bad shape!!

P.S. I have all the orange crocosmia you could probably ever want if you need some. Clean as a whistle :)

I would most certainly trash those daylilies. You won't be doing anyone any favors by passing those along.
