It was a wonderful rain! My friends live in Stone Mountain, in a rain shadow and had not had rain for quite some time either. We've had it regularly, but the high temperatures have made "regular" not enough!

I have had to do my black pot and garbage bag remedy this summer. I use the biggest black plastic plant pots I have with a kitchen trash bag in it. I fill the bag with water and poke a little hole in the plastic bag at one of the drainage hole areas. Then I fill it up with water and let it slowly water the plant. I only have to do this every 3 days or so. A trash bag is good for one summer season and I have lots of black pots because I can't seem to throw them away or take them to be used over. I might have to move again someday.
