Early, Nearly Fall Pilgrimage!

With the recent rain episode and seemingly a hint of Fall in the air, awoke early this AM and decided to brave the big game traffic to Loganville.

Went to buy a couple of Oakleaf Hydrangeas and came home with 3.

As usual, found many other plants had followed me home though! Hostas, Axaleas, Rain Lily's (white, with multiple blooms and many buds. For a $1 ea., who could resist)? Hardy terrestrial Orchids (Bletilla striata), gallons, marked down to $2. They make a great Vole buffet! Those critters love the shallow planted pseudobulbs, hardly any work involved.

A sidebar story___

On the way there, found a station that had cheap gasoline, at $3.43 gal. Made a note to stop on the way home and fill up. As I was pulling into the station, they were changing prices, up 10¢ gal.!! Didn't stop, made a loop around the pumps amd left.
