Asian Lillies Growing timelines

I realize that the lilly forum might be a good place to post, but this issue is possibly more weather related (GA) so I figured I"d ask the GA folks.

I purchased a handful of these after they had already bloomed (clearance priced). The plants stayed green a good long while and then yellowed and fell off, of course the flowers were gone already. These are all in small nursery containers.

I kinda left them alone (didn't water on accident etc) I am now seeing new growth. I kinda thought they would go dormant and then I could plant them and look for them again in the spring.

Do you think this new growth is normal? I guess whether or not it is normal, it's there. So now I will probably need to put them in the ground?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Likely they went dormant for lack of water. Now that it has rained they've resprouted. Go ahead and plant them if you have the location prepared. They will go dormant when it truly gets colder, around November. At least mine do.
