Any Affordable Pottery Shops?

Posted by fussoverthis z7b (My Page) on

Hey, all,
I'm in need of a fairly large container for a fig tree. Terra cotta or poly resin would be great, but I'll definitely entertain any suggestions.

Are there any lesser known shops where I could score a big pot for a decent price - perhaps roadside locally-owned places out in the country? Everything I have found inside Atlanta is so expensive.

Thanks in advance!

You might try Habersham Nursery. When they have a sale, it's a S A L E. Got an enormous cerulean blue pot for $30. Now, they don't always have a sale of that big a discount. However, won't hurt to check them out.

You can also try a decorating supply type store. I bought a really nice big pot at Old Time Pottery and it was cheap!!

Thanks so much for the info! I also checked out Pike's on LaVista. They have 30% off all glazed pots currently. They have a HUGE selection, too.

Check out Tuesday Morning - sometimes they have large pots at reasonable prices.

Try a Garden Ridge store. I don't know where they all are, but I always find a good sale on at the one off of Barrett Parkway (behind the mall).

And of course, Big Lots.

TJMaxx, Marshalls, Home Goods - they have containers at very good prices - check them out.
