Seeds on Colocasia gigantea

I have a Colocasia gigantea Thailand Giant Strain Elephant Ear. And, I mean it is a Giant Elephant Ear!. It is 10 feet tall and at least 6 feet wide, with leaves about 3 feet across, with new leaves coming all the time. It has bloomed several times during the summer in fronds that stick up in the middle sort of like a hand, a calla-like bloom. My question is, do I cut the seed pods off or do I leave them on. I want it to come back next year. I also would like to allow some of the pods to mature and see if I have success with them. Will it cause the plant to die back, or will it come back next year, if I leave the seed pods on? I don't want that to happen. It is a really, really, beautiful plant. I have emailed the garden center where I ordered the plant, but no answer. I live in coastal Georgia, so I am sure with mulching it will come back next year.
