Campanula in NW GA

Hi,

I wanted to know if campanulas can be grown in the area NW of Atlanta (between Canton and Cartersville). Does anyone grow any bellflowers in GA for that matter? I really love these plants but have a feeling that they'll be hard to grow.

Specifically, the ones I'm interested in are:

Campanula carpatica 'Blue Clips' and 'White Clips'

Campanula persicifolia and p. alba

Campanula lactiflora 'Loddon Anna'

Campanula medium 'Cups and Saucers'

According to almost everything I've read, they are hardy to my area. The only one that I find truly questionable is 'Loddon Anna'. That one is sometimes listed to zone 7 (which my area barely is).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Campanula divaricata is a petite native bellflower that is found in North Georgia.

Don't know what that means for the non-native ones you mention, but I thought I'd put it out there.

Some campanulas can like us far too well. I have two that I need to get rid of. The pink I LOVE LOVE LOVE and wish I had a better spot for. It's taking over everything in it's small area. The blue has taken over a garden, rarely blooms and then flops when it blooms. I hate chemicals, but this one is getting painted out with herbicide this year. I just don't want that fight anymore.

Esh, I looked C. divericata up and wow is it beautiful!

GGG, do you know the names of your campanulas? I'm especially interested in the pink one. Are you sure they're not balloon flowers?
