I'm another gardener that was "blind-sided" by the inaccurate weather forecast. Supposed to have been a low of 40°F here this AM and to my surprise, when I awoke and checked the temperature, it was 35°F! Guess my Tomatoes and Peppers are history. Don't know anything that can revive them now. If spraying them with water helps, please let us know.

Your veggies should be immediately cooked if they are ripe. If not, they are compost. Sorry.
No frost here, everything looks good - I just wish they'd ripen!!

Can someone make me feel just a bit better about this loss? Had I covered these plants AND it dropped below 32, would these plants still have been toast? I am just so bummed, I lost at least 20 pepper plants (which I picked almost 60 peppers just the day before) and they were full of flowers and small fruit!!! also 6 or more eggplant that were just getting going good, the okra, had it's day but were still quite alive and producing (at least 8 plants). The basil, well I had pulled up a huge plant the day before, and took some of the smaller ones into the GH earlier, so they were ok. I had pans of water on my deck that were frozen, so It had to have been freezing for a good long time....

What did you cover the plants with?
