Kudzu beetles imported from Asia only a few years ago, now have gone crazy. They feed on legumous crops (end of growing beans in Georgia is close, I fear), and are simply looking for a place to over winter. Yes, they are stink bugs.
There are links on the internet to build low cost stink bug traps if they get into your house. All it takes is an old soda bottle, some tape and an LED light. Outside, I don't know of much. They have a tough armor coating and very little soft tissue exposed underneath so I find them hard to kill.

They were glommed to my patio doors and I took my hand held vacuum out there and sucked them up, but with the temps coming back up, I see there are some that have hatched. They remind me of lady bugs because of the way they go toward windows.

They don't seem to be eating anything, but are invasive simply because of the smell and numbers.
