Tall Fescue Overseeding Issues

Posted by bobglondon GA (My Page) on

Just finished overseeding a tall fescue lawn. Some of the fescue seed spilled over into flower beds. Is this spillover going to create a weed problem and if so what can I do about it?

RE: Tall Fescue Overseeding Issues

One option is to very heavily mulch your flower bed to prevent germination - you can use newspaper or cardboard under the mulch to keep light from getting to the seeds.

Another option is using Preen to keep the seeds from germinating.
