| I planted some Jersey Giant small ferns that I got from Home Depot back in early April. They have become giant, beautiful ferns and still continue to put up shoots.
I've read that I need to cut the ferns and cover with compost in December to try to force some dormancy. When the crowns come up in the spring, can I harvest or do I need to wait another full year? Thank you! |

| You should probably wait another year unless you specifically bought 2 year old plants. |

| By the way, asparagus is not a fern. |
