Someone brought some "japanese iris" and some "siberian iris" to the plant trade. I'm not sure who that was. Do you know their flower color?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,
Can you ask your Mom about the Japanese iris? It looked like it was also her handwriting on the tag.

Thanks!

I brought four small Jap Iris grown from seed(in round 4" pots), they are blue and grow in a semi-circular fan shape. They require dividing about every two-three years for maximum blooms.

Vroomp, would those be Japanese Roof Iris then (that's what I've heard them called when they grow in a semi-circle)? Or do other japanese iris grow in a semi-circle?

Vroomp, I don't think these were from you. They were very large single fan divisions in a pot. I figure they are purple, not sure light or dark purple.
I have Jap. iris that grow in a circle, I think they are probably roof iris - they run. They run outside of their circle too.
Then I have another type, again, I think Jap. roof iris but these are supposed to be an "Eco" type from Don Jacobson. They never run and are mannerly. Just wish they'd bloom!

Glynis,

I didn't bring the Jap irises. I brought Siberian. They are purple. Hope that helps.
