| Went to The Kinsey Family Farm & Nursery Cumming GA today and can highly recommend them. Fall plant sales are on the down swing but I picked up some nice natives. They carry more than just natives but it was great to see a selection! Plants are in great shape, the gentleman I dealt with was knowledgeable and the overall environment extremely friendly.
The best part was that they have an apple cannon. Go shop for plants, hurl a few apples at speed. Also what is rather cute for kids is they do things like have fish feeding times, etc. May borrow the neighbors kids for that!
I rarely buy plants on impulse but picked up a bald cypress...someone remind me that if you impulse buy a plant, don't make it a canopy tree. Maybe a wee perennial. Anyhow if you live in the area they are worth a visit. He had a very nice list of spring natives that were coming. I'm sure to be a regular there from now on. |
