Can and how do I collect the seeds and plant?

Mine rarely makes seed. If you already have one, you can multiply it by layering in the spring after the soil warms up. It's a bit late for it now...
Lay a length of the vine on the ground, knick the back of the stem and rub some rooting hormone into it. Then throw a small rock on that spot so that there is good soil to earth contact. Takes a LONG time to root, but it will! Once well rooted, cut from mother plant and let it sit there as is for a week or so before transplanting.
