Looks like it might be close to freezing tomorrow night. If you have tender things still out, be sure to monitor the forecast.

    Hi ESH

Time to break out the long handles....

How you and the family been?

Don't know if I told you or not, but I have stopped taking the meds. I was not living, but just existing. My buddy came down yesterday from Macon and we had a good visit. Only he and my oldest daughter in Atlanta is having a hard time accepting it. After he saw how much happier I was then I think it made him feel better. He is 5 days older than me and just sold his car dealership in Warner Robins.

You take care of yourself.......... you hear?

    You friend,

Shot, glad to hear from you but shocked at the news. Of course I was hoping that you would get past this. I am glad you have made this decision for yourself and hope that you have many happy days. I have sent you an email - hope Debbie doesn't mind. ;)

The family's fine here. Alex has been accepted to two colleges so far and needs to make his decision. They grow so fast.

Tnx GGG! It is incureable so I think this is the best choice.

ESH, thsnks for the replies both email and here. Alex has already been accepted by two colleges??? WOW! It seems that no time ago he was getting his drivers licence and you were one more nervous mom! Which colleges (if you don't mind me asking)?

First the weather report - looks like it did get down to about 35 here. Little warmer tonight and then more in the days to come. Lots of leaves have fallen so far (tulip poplars and maples), but still plenty to come with the oaks and sweetgums.

He has been accepted to Kennesaw and to Southern Polytech. We wanted him to stay fairly close (but he will live in the dorms). Despite the flashy new dorms at KSU, looks like he prefers Southern Poly (traditional dorms) because they have the stronger computer science program (he loves games so much that he wants to build them one day!). I like it because it is a smaller school as well - KSU is up to 22K students while SPSU has less than 6K still.

And he still doesn't have his license! But his granddad gave him an old truck so he is a little better about wanting to practice.

    Hi ESH.

Wondering how much rain you ended up with. Saw on the news that Atlanta area had flash flood warnings out. Haven't talked to the kids yet that live up there, but it looks like yall got a soaking. We have dodged the bullet so far, but it appears that it is coming.

Are you still working from home? Hope so as I would hate to think of you out in this.

Okay on your son. My oldest son works for a computer company up there so there are still jobs available out thre.

    Take care and stay dry.

Oh the rain!!! I have given up keeping track of it all. Looks like we will get WAY too much today. Currently getting quotes to replace the first 45 feet of our driveway - all this rain has caused part of it to sink and now some cars hit the drive as they come in. It was already cracked before and I'm sure that didn't help either.

Yep, still working from home and I always feel very grateful on days like this. Only get wet when it comes time to walk the dog.

I guess they will be letting water out of Lake Lanier again next week. Sheesh.

Glad to hear from you, buddy.
