I need to go drain my hoses. And I've been working on bringing plants into the GH all afternoon. I know there are some too big to move and I'll just have to cover them up with blankets. It's all I can do.

I drained and stored the hoses last week. Today we secured the outside faucets and I put the covers over the in-ground faucets.

The GH was ready two weeks ago. Today I put some bubble wrap between some plants and the north wall where I thought they might be 'uncomfortable.'

I also said goodnight to Charisma, KO red and KO pink, Red Cascade and Livin' Easy roses still in bloom. The big white camellia sasanqua will have brown blossoms tomorrow, but there are plenty of buds awaiting another warm spell.

Than I set the hav-a-hart trap, not for the usual armadillo, but for the squirrel in the tractor barn.

I've never drained a hose or bothered with my hose hook ups the whole time I've lived here. I guess I should go out and tie something over them, eh? My hoses all leak already (not from being frozen, just from being too cheap). I don't really use hoses anyway...

Sitting at 22 now, with a big frost. This ties my record for the lowest temp in November in the last 12 years!! Got down to 22 on November 22, 2000. Its been below freezing since 8:30 last night!

Great...I forgot the hoses. I had to replace a couple this past year, so it looks like I just might have to do it again next year.
